Crop, annotate and explain
| Tool | Useful for |
|---|---|
| Crop | Remove browser-page context that is not part of the point you need to share. |
| Text | Add a short explanation, label or instruction directly to the screenshot. |
| Arrows and lines | Point to a control, connect two states or show the direction of a workflow. |
| Rectangles and ellipses | Frame a region without covering what is underneath it. |
| Highlight | Call attention to a line of text or a compact area. |
| Blur | Visually obscure part of the captured image before sharing it. |
Blur is not document redaction
The blur tool changes the exported screenshot pixels inside the area you draw. It is useful for visually hiding incidental details in an image.
It is not a generic PDF redaction tool and PageShotter does not claim that blur permanently removes underlying information from an original document. For a secret that must not be recoverable, crop it out or avoid capturing it.
The screenshot stays on your device
Capture pixels, webpage content and editor documents are processed and stored locally in your browser. PageShotter does not upload screenshots, require an account or send extension analytics.

Export the finished screenshot
Use PNG when exact pixels matter, JPEG or WebP when file size matters, and PDF when you need page-sized output. See the screenshot export guide for the differences.
